How is my music protected?

Vizions has implemented various security measures in an attempt to protect our artists' music and materials to the best of our abilities. However, the best way to protect you and your music is to make sure you copyright all of your material you upload within the Vizions community. Do I have to copyright my music?

Vizions is not responsible for any and all liabilities in regards to Artists' music and copyright issues. Since we do not require any rights to your music, it is the Artists' sole responsibility to address copyrighting their music. Vizions highly recommends that all artists copyright their music that they upload to protect themselves to the best of their abilities. Copyrights and Licensing

How many songs can I upload?

Artists can upload as many songs as desired as long as adequate space is available. Artists will be able to purchase more space as necessary.

Can I upload an album?

Currently, artists can only upload individual songs. However, any and all songs from an album may be uploaded onto the Artist's page. The songs can then be downloaded by members of the community. Any member downloading songs from a particular artist may arrange songs to their discretion. Album arrangement is coming soon!

What type of music files can I upload?

We currently support files in the MP3 format with a minimum bit rate of 192k.

Can I upload music with offensive or explicit language?

While Vizions feels it is important for the Artist to be able to express themselves lyrically within their music, we also believe in following those guidelines set forth by the RIAA, the National Parent Teacher Association, and the Parents Music Resource Center being we are a United States based company. Those guidelines outline the use of the Parental Advisory for particular recordings. According to the RIAA,

"The use of the Parental Advisory Label is not a determination of whether a recording is or is not appropriate for particular listeners. Rather . . . it is a 'heads up' to parents (and consumers, retailers and wholesalers) that parental discretion is advised when purchasing the particular recording for children or when listening to the recording."

Should you (the artist) need any information regarding whether or not you should place an "Explicit Lyrics" tab to your music, please refer to the RIAA guidelines at: http://www.riaa.com/issues/parents/advisory.asp. However, Vizions has the sole right to remove any and all lyrics, songs or graphics it deems overly offensive and explicit from the site, regardless of interpretation and without warning, should it choose to do so.

What happens if someone is distributing my music illegally?

Vizions does not tolerate anyone distributing music for which they do not have the legal ownership. If someone is distributing music that doesn't belong to them please notify Customer Service immediately.

Can fans stream (play) my music?

Yes, fans can stream all music within the Vizions community

What happens if I run out of space and want to upload more music?

Artist may purchase additional space through their personal artist portal

Can I upload music of any quality?

Vizions requires that all uploaded music have a minimum rating of 44 KHz stereo and a bit rate of 192K. Vizions feels it is important to provide our community members with the best listening experience possible for sampling and downloading music within our community.
